We created this website to aid in the teaching that takes place at the Young Scientist Centre. We’ve made the table interactive by splitting the table into sections where you can click an element and be provided with information.
The aim of the table is to be used as a teaching aid, or a self-teaching tool. A teaching aid as it can be used on a large screen with a class of students to show the elements and information about them. And a self-teaching tool in the sense that a student can sit down with the website and just explore at their own leisure
The information provided is aimed at a wide age range, each element has information for learners of a higher age range 15+ this includes its atomic number within and where the element may be found.
For the younger learners, we have provided more casual and more fun information, such as videos of the element reacting with other elements and what the combination would create.
